Déjà, il est important de rappeler que la mode est la deuxième industrie la plus polluante après celle du pétrole. Elle induit un énorme coût humain, social et environnemental.
Comme vous l’avez peut-être vu dans mes précédents articles, je m’intéresse et réfléchis de plus en plus à ma façon de consommer et de voir la mode : ici avec ma garde robe capsule de l’hiver 2018, j’abordais la slow fashion et enfin ici la location de vêtements.
Impact environnemental de la mode
- l’emploi de pesticides empoisonne l’agriculture et l’eau (notamment l’industrie du coton qui est très gourmande en pesticide)
- pour faire fonctionner les usines, on emploi du charbon qui est très polluant pour l’air
- les eaux que rejettent les usines sont très toxiques
- des combustibles fossiles (pétrole, méthane, charbon…) sont utilisés pour fabriquer des matières telles que le polyester qui est une matière très polluante
- la teinture et le traitement du cuir notamment, induisent l’utilisation de produits très chimiques qui contiennent des perturbateurs endocriniens. A forte dose, ils brûlent les poumons de ceux qui travaillent à leur contact et ceux-ci développent des maladies
J’ai découvert que l’épiderme captait jusqu’à 36 substances (lorsque l’on analyse la peau), c’est tout simplement énorme. C’est dans le podcast Badass la mode que j’ai pris connaissance de cette information édifiante. 2/3 des vêtements testés par Greenpeace contiennent des produits chimiques dangereux.
Porter un vêtement a donc un impact sur notre santé et encore plus les sous-vêtements car nos muqueuses sont directement en contact avec. Phtalates, métaux lourds, agents blanchissants, pesticides, fixateurs, teintures chimiques, perturbateurs endocriniens, et autres joyeusetés se retrouvent dans nos sous vêtements 😤
Pour toutes ces raisons, il est important de pratiquer l’achat médité et se préoccuper des conditions de fabrication. Les certifications peuvent nous aider à y voir plus clair :
- OEKO-TEX 100 : limite la présence de produits toxiques mais ne garanti pas un textile biologique pour autant.
- GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) : garanti des textiles biologiques (donc sans pesticide) et sans perturbateurs endocriniens
Passons maintenant à une marque de lingerie bio qui propose des tissus en coton biologique certifiés GOTS. Je n’avais pas encore creusé le sujet de la lingerie éthique et je suis ravie de le faire ici ☺
Olly Lingerie
OLLY = Organic & Lovely Lingerie. Yours
Olly est une marque de lingerie éco-responsable. Derrière cette marque, il y a trois femmes : Clémentine, Mathilde et Clémentine (oui il y a deux Clémentine ^^). Elles se sont rencontrées pendant leurs études à Berlin et se sont lancées pour défendre une nouvelle vision de la mode : respectueuse de l’environnement, des travailleurs et des consommateurs, tout en restant attachée au style.
Les culottes sont imaginées à Paris et sont confectionnées en Hongrie par leur atelier partenaire (petite vidéo en Hongrie, je trouve très intéressant de savoir qui se cache derrière la production, ça rend les achats moins impersonnels #whomademyclothes?). La Hongrie est un pays classé à faible risque liés à la gouvernance (et donc aux lois qui régissent les droits des travailleurs) par le BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), au même titre que la France ou l’Italie. Il a été difficile de trouver un atelier qui puisse satisfaire tous les critères d’Olly, la recherche a été rude mais l’aboutissement est vraiment un succès. D’autant que c’est leur atelier partenaire qui se fournit en coton bio et qui le teint dans un atelier en Allemagne. (C’est assez rare, d’habitude, les marques achètent elles-mêmes leurs matières et l’envoient à leurs ateliers).
Pour ce qui est des matières, ils utilisent : coton bio certifié GOTS (provenances diverses : Turquie, Inde, USA, c’est donc l’atelier partenaire qui se le procure), dentelles et tulles françaises ou européennes. Quant aux teintures, elles sont certifiées Oeko-tex 100 et donc non nocives.
Sept modèles sont actuellement vendus sur leur e-shop entre 29 et 31 euros. Il y a également deux points de vente physiques : à Paris et Nantes.
Aussi, elles souhaitent développer une gamme de soutien-gorge sans armature, toujours en coton bio 👍
Au delà de proposer des culottes éco-responsables, Olly a un réel engagement pour faire avancer les choses :
– Un packaging minimaliste, recyclé et recyclable
– Les mannequins sont amateurs et non retouchés, pour plus d’authenticité (petites vidéos des coulisses du shooting ici ou la) Shootings en pleine nature qui sont parfois assez folkloriques comme me racontait Mathilde, Louise la mannequin s’est faite piquer par des guêpes ou encore klaxonnée par des camions ^^
– Olly ne fait pas de soldes, afin de proposer des prix justes toute l’année et ne pas inciter à la surconsommation, plus d’infos à ce sujet ici. Pour la même raison, Olly ne fonctionne pas par collection

Mon avis
C’est suite à un post instagram sur des protections hygiéniques lavables que Mathilde m’a contacté pour me proposer d’essayer une de leurs culottes. Et c’est une superbe découverte pour moi, c’est la première fois que j’essayais et portais un vêtement de mode éthique. D’habitude, je me tourne davantage vers le seconde main, mais avec des sous-vêtements autant dire que c’est compliqué ahah.
Le modèle sittang est un peu échancrée sur le devant mais c’est le modèle qui veut ça. La petite tulle apporte vraiment un charme. Nous sommes loin du cliché culotte éthique = culotte de grand mère et c’est ce qui me plait. Cette culotte est vraiment confortable et toute douce 😍👍
Ce modèle allie du coton bio bleu navy certifié GOTS et du tulle italien (composé de 80 % de polyamide et 20 % d’élasthanne). Vous pouvez retrouver ce modèle ici.
Quant à la tenue au fil des lavages, je verrais au fil du temps ce que ça donne 😉 mais le tissus a l’air solide.
Concernant le prix, ce modèle vaut 29 €.
Certes, on peut se dire que c’est un coût pour une culotte mais nous ne nous posons pas assez la question du prix réel. Nous sommes tellement embués par les prix attractifs que nous proposent les marques de fast fashion, qui ne se soucient guerre de la pollution de l’eau et de la terre engendrées par leurs productions, des personnes qui meurent dans leurs usines, tous les problèmes de santé générés par les produits chimiques utilisés et j’en passe.
Ici, le prix réel c’est justement de ne pas participer à ce désastre humain et environnemental.

On sent qu’ils sont vraiment engagée pour une mode « propre » et durable 🙂 Moi aussi d’habitude je suis plutôt seconde main pour les vêtements mais pour la lingerie je préfère le neuf. J’avais bien aimé aussi les modèle de Peau Ethique qui ont de jolies ensembles et prône une mode durable.
